IICHE Bhubaneswar Regional Centre

The centre, which started functioning with just 25 members, is today a force to reckon with having 142 members in its fold. All the major industries and organisations like CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar; Odisha State Pollution Control Board, Bhubaneswar; IPICOL, Bhubaneswar; NALCO, ICT-IOC etc. are the major contributors of distinguished membership to this centre. The track record of this Centre within the short is indeed quite impressive with major events like CHEMINAR-93, ENERGYSHOP-94, BAUXAL-95, TECHSHOP-96, GOLDEN JUBLEE-98, INTERACTIVE GET-TOGETHER-99, CHEMINAR-2001, CHEMCON-2003, PCPIR-2014, Coal Gasification - 2014, Seminar on Non-Ferrous Mineral Industries-Growth and Challenges -2015, Odisha-Investors" Destination for Chemicals and Petrochemicals-2017, Centre's Silver Jubilee Celebration on September 12, 2017, CHEMCON-2021, ODICHEM-2022, CAChE-2024 etc. organised by this Centre. These events have been huge success not only in assimilating Chemical Engineering in the technical society but also disseminating the profession of Chemical Engineering in the Eastern India. Besides organising Seminars, Workshops, Symposium and Get-togethers, the Centre has been very active in conducting Industrial visits and invited lectures by the Eminent Professionals in the field and bringing these professionals on common platform. It has not lacked in social service too. The genuine contribution of the Centre to the victims of super-cyclone of Orissa (1999) has been widely acclaimed.
