It is my great honour for electing me to this prestigious position as Chairman of Bhubaneswar Regional Centre of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers. This centre has done number of technical meets/workshops/seminars/  symposiums from its inception apart from Industrial visit in each year. CHEMCON-2003 was one of the mega events of the centre. Two Students Chapters at CV Raman Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar and IGIT, Sarang, Talcher are under the purview of our Centre. The quiz competition and invited talks are being organized in these Chapters by the Centre. 

 

The state of Odisha is rich in mineral, marine, agriculture and forest resources. The application of chemical engineering profession is now multi-directional, and it has large impact on the human society and ecology of the planet. Chemical Engineering fraternity has the challenges ahead to develop the green technology for the sustainable of the planet. IIChE Bhubaneswar Centre organized CHEMCON-2021 on Hybrid mode, which was as successful as CHEMCON-2003.
